New Progress in the Garden!
Progress has been continuing at a steady pace in the garden. I still have projects that need to be finished before the Housewarming Party in August, but there has been forward movement.
The nastursiums are blooming like crazy! With the warm weather and plenty of sunshine, my veggies and herbs are growing more every day.
I finally got the clematis on their trellises and added a bird bath to encourage visitors.
The paver project continues and I got another load of rocks to cover all the gravel. The hard part will be figuring out how to level the stones and filling the cracks.
My new planter! A nice young man off of Craigslist made this for me and I plan to put potatoes in one side and strawberries on the other.
The middle divider can be removed to make one big planter if I decide to grow something else in the future.
Corn and tomatoes will be ready soon!!

The Long Weekend
The holiday weekend dawned bright and hot! Steven got to my house at about 4am on Saturday so, needless to say, it was a slow morning for both of us. Here's Steven trying to hide from the daylight.
Sock Summit is on the horizon and I spent most of the long weekend trying to un-bury my office of singles. This is the first batch setting in the sink...
My raspberry arbor is perfect for drying skeins!
Here we are at Jan's house for a 4th of July BBQ! We ate, talked, picked raspberries, and played Mexican Train.
